Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyaya Yojana: Online Application (CG Godhan Nyay) Benefits and Eligibility

Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyaya Yojana has been launched by Chhattisgarh State Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel ji on 20th July, 2020 to benefit farmers and cattle herders. As per the scheme, cow dung will be procured by the State Government from cow rearing cattle herders and farmers and under this scheme, the government will use the dung procured from the cattle herders to make vermi compost. Through this scheme, the Government will not only work for farmers and cattle herders but it will also be a task for cows. CG Gordhan Nyay Scheme Apply

The scheme was launched by the Government of Chhattisgarh for the first time on 21st July, 2020. The cattle herders of the state of Chhattisgarh will be directly benefited by the scheme. Interested beneficiaries of the State of Chhattisgarh who want to avail the benefits of the scheme will first have to complete the application process under this CG Gordhan Nyay Scheme.

You will need to know the eligibility, guidelines of this scheme before applying. The scheme is being implemented in two phases.  In which 2,240 gaushalas of the State will be connected in the first phase and then after construction of 2,800 formations in a few days, then dung is to be purchased in the second phase also. Cow dung is used in a variety of uses, which helps in producing good fuel. Under the scheme, cow dung received by the Government of Chhattisgarh is Rs. 2/- per month. It will be purchased at the rate of kg.

Amount of 11th and 12th instalments released under Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyaya Yojana

A function was organised by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh at his residence office and at the function he addressed the beneficiaries of all Chhattisgarh Gaudhan Nyaya Yojana. The amount of 11th and 12th instalments was credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries on the occasion. 4.51 crore of 11th instalment has been conveyed to the dung vendors purchased between December 16 and December 31.    

3.02 crore has been delivered online to the beneficiaries' account by the Government for the 12th amount of dung procured between January 1 and January 15. 71.72 crore has been paid under Chhattisgarh Gaudhan Nyaya Yojana so far. It was informed by the Chief Minister that out of the beneficiaries of this scheme, more than 57,000 are landless farmers.  For whom selling dung has proved to be a source of income for all these landless farmers. It has also given the objective of the Government to increase the income of the farmers. So far, 35 lakh 86 thousand quintals of dung has been procured under Chhattisgarh Godhania Scheme. The procurement will continue in a big way by the Government in the near future.

Chhattisgarh Gaudhan Nyaya Yojana Background

A number of schemes like Narwa, Guruva etc. Gaushalas for animals have also been constructed by the Government. So far, gaushalas have been constructed in 22,00 villages of the State and 50,00 more villages are to be constructed in the near future also. Chhattisgarh Gaudhan Nyaya Yojana will prove to be a very beneficial tax for the economy and rural economy of the State. The scheme will also provide employment opportunities. Once the scheme is launched, livestock owners will provide proper fodder water to their animals and will be able to get benefits by selling their dung (cow dough).


Thus, the State of Chhattisgarh will become the first cow dung buying state in the country.

  • And, from these gaushalas, the Godhan Nyaya Yojana will be implemented.
  • Women Self Help Groups will operate various other and main schemes including preparation of vermincompost at these centres.
  • Government to construct gaushalas in a phased manner under Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyaya Yojana
  • It will be made detailed and useful. About 11,630 Gram Panchayats 
  • And, it has been decided to construct gaushalas in 2,000 villages.
  • Use of received cow herds

The cow dough obtained under this CC Godhan Nyay Yojana will be used to make vermi compost fertilizer. It will be sold through fertilizer cooperative society. So that the fertilizer requirement of farmers, forests, horticulture, nagaria administration department etc. The responsibility of procurement of dung has been entrusted to the Chhattisgarh State Urban Administration. The vermi compost will be sold at the rate of ₹10 per kg.

Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyaya Yojana success so far

As we all know, under the Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyaya Yojana, the Government of Chhattisgarh buys dung as per ₹2/kg. The scheme was launched by the Government of Chhattisgarh on 21st July, 2020. Government to double income of cattle herders through Chhattisgarh Gaudhan Nyaya Yojana. The income of cattle herders has increased so far through this scheme. The economic condition of cattle herders is improving further through chhattisgarh gaudhan nyaya yojana. 26.76 lakh quintals of godhan has been deposited so far from the scheme. 53.53 crore has been paid by the Government so far to the cattle herders.
